My timeline life

 Today I did the work of the Cicada life cycle. I had a look at the video and the read more here link. Then I did the work. It says "Create a timeline of your life or you can use this template". I used the template and fill it in. I've added some pictures too. I've learn that the Cicada had a life pretty much like humans. They're born, eat, get out of their house, get wings and ready to fly of. Find a mate. Babies hatch, and all started again. So this is my work. I am absolutey not sure if my life's going to be ecxactly like that. But don't laugh at the last bit of 34 and the middle bit of 51. Hope you like it.

Kenning Poem

 This is my kenning poem I did on the Summer Learning Journey. I got to the site a little bit late so today is Tuesday so the work for Tuesday this week is Kenning Poem. I can't make a Screencastify video of me reading because my computer's microphone thing can't record my voice. I am in a funny mood today so iif you think there's some funny words in the slide, comment please!

My Twelve days of Christmas

 It's nearly Christmas so Mrs Batey organised us to do a Twelve days of Christmas. I made mine one a bit gross, but it will give you a giggle 😅😅. Here we go for a giggly time!!!

What I learnt on the Google Exploring Slide

 Yesterday Mrs Batey told us to complete a Google Exploring slide. There was tasks to complete. There were 15 tasks. And after we completed it, we wrote about a few things that we learnt from the slide on Google Slide or Google drawings. Here is mine one and I hope you enjoy it.

The Wild Robot 2

 We have finished the Wild Robot Escapes book. And I write a review about the book. If you're not really sure about the first book. The I already wrote a review about the first book so you can know what happens in the first book and this second book. The story is very good, plus extra that it is"The New York times bestseller"! I love the story and listening to it after lunch everyday. I think you should buy one, or two maybe. If you want to read a quick story on the internet. Then you can have a look at this...

Create my own images

 We were looking at Cyber smart Challenge and I did this Create your own images for your presentation.  So you open a Google Drawings and draw your image. Then take a screenshot of it and put it in your presentation. You have to make a right image to the text or the reader will get confused. Here is mine one and I hope you like it.

Reading your mind!

 I was reading a journal. On the last pages there were a maths question page called"Miss Mind Reader" by Joy Cowley. We were a bit curious so my teacher decide that we'll reading it. And any number we choose it equals D. Just read this and you'll know. And we thought that this isn't Mind Reading, that's cheating! So my teacher told me to figure out is this true or not. And, just read and you'll know that. And there's a trick why it is always D. The trick is under, if you want to have fun, skip it. But first you have to do this, figure out the trick. And then look at the answers that is on the side my work. I did all my best. I hope you had fun with it.

The trick is: Any number that multiplies 9 from 1 to 10  add up the digits equals 9.

NZ bird of the year

 We are voting for the bird of the year NZ, so I had a look at the bird of the year NZ website, and then I choose one to write about. I chose the Rifleman Bird. I wrote it on Google Drawings and added some pictures. I hope you like it.

About my holidays

 When we were back to school from holidays. My teacher told us to write about what you did in the holidays on Google Drawing. Here is mine one and I hope you like it.

My pick a path story

This week we did a "Pick a path" story. Means that you click on the highlighted letters and it will lead you to the place. Like you click on "going to the supermarket" and it will lead you to a slide about supermarket. But mine one doesn't have supermarket, that's just an example. You will see what I mean when you go inside. Ta-da!

Maori colour names

It's over Maori language week but we still doing Maori works, and we did the names of colours in Maori. I did it in a Google Drawings. I made a splat of the colours by Curve lines. Then insert some crayons for the colours. The last one I did a Gradient Custom and insert a rainbow. I hope you like it. 

Mara names of the fruits in Te Reo Maori

 This week is Maori language week so we learned about the names of the fruits in Maori, then we make a garden with lots of fruits inside and put the name of that fruit in Te Reo Maori next to it. Here's my one and I hope you like it.

My bird Mosaic

 We did a bird Mosaic for our works. This is mine one, I worked 3 hours on this. I did a Tui singing on a Kowhai tree and add a speech bubble on what's the Tui is singing. I also did some Mosaic on the background. I hope you like it and please leave me a comment!

 Today our job is make a sand art on the Thissand site, then we take a screen shot and put it on a Google drawings in my Topic folder...

How the balloon pops by an orange peel

 We were looking at how the balloon pops by an orange peel on a science video, then we explain how it works on Google drawings. Here's mine one!!!

My sky night Mosaic work

We looked at more Mosaic work, and we did it by lots of colours. I made a sky night with stars and the moon and a cloud with a stars background. I hope you like it.

My doggy Pop art

 In the Covid 19 level 4 we stay home and work on our Chromebooks, our work is on the class's blog, Mrs Batey put works for groups and maths on for us to solve it. She will look on Hapara to see our works, and then we have a Google meeting each day at 11 o'clock. Here is one of the work that Mrs Batey put on our blog, it's called a Pop-art. The Wild Robot little story

 As you may know, our class were reading a book about "The Wild Robot". Today we finished the story, then our teacher told us to write a short retold of it, then said what you think about the story and Roz. We did it on Google Drawings. I hope you like it.

Trip to Otaki College

 On Wednesday 4-08-21 the year sixes and over went to the Otaki College to have a look around for next year to be in the College next year. It was fun looking around the College. When we're back. We wrote about it on Google Drawings.

Where is Roz?

 We were reading a book by Peter Brown. It's called "The Wild Robot". Then our teacher told us to do a picture of Roz"the robot" with Bright Bill" the gosling" camouflaging from hunters. This is mine one.

The Korean war vets

 On 27-07-21 the Korean war vets came to our school, the army with their big guns and trucks with some old men that had join the Korean war came, we perform kapahaka and they told us some about the war. Then we all stood up and sang the NZ National Anthem. I enjoyed it. 

About Matariki

 We were reading a booklet about Matariki. The Mrs Batey told us to do a Google Slides about it. This is mine one. I make it a bit funny and learn how to add Animation onto it. I hope you like it.

The cross country

 On Thursday 27-05-21 we went to Haruatai park for cross country race, who came 1,2,3,4 will get to go to the interschool cross country. The cross country is on Tuesday 1-06-21. Three people in my class get to go.😙😙 

Head Lice

 We were reading a book in this week about head lice, we read about its diagram, body parts, how can it lives, what it likes, where it lives, and...They are parasites, the ones that are very annoying for the world. Remember, they drink your blood and give you nothing, only an itchy head.😡😡

The Frog's life cycle

  This is what I did at the end of the day. We were reading a book about a Frog's life cycle. We decided to make it on Google Drawings. From an egg to a tadpole, the tadpole got no legs to a tadpole got two legs, the tadpole got two legs to a froglet, from a froglet to a frog! And the frog gave birth some eggs. It's a frog life cycle!

The Mosiac Basketball

  Today we did Mosiac Art. I did a basketball. This is how you do it: You insert what you want, then zoom bigger about 100%, you use Polyline to do the inside, choose what colour you want then make shapes that fit in. The line is you still use Polyline, you use the darkest grey. After you're done, you remove the picture and then delete it, choose a black gradient with a white middle background... DONE!

The last golf

  This time is the last time we went to the golf course, when we back write about it. I miss golf.

St' John's coming to school

 On Tuesday 17-05-21 St' John's come to school and taught us some safety skills in the playground, it was a lot of fun. When we back we wrote about it on Google Drawings.

Something's coming...

  We are learning to use Google Drawings better, so at first we start to draw a under water seen.We did not insert images, We just do it ourselves by using shapes and Google Drawings tools.

I did the fishes playing together very fun but something dangerous is coming... Do you know what the fishes are playing and what dangerous thing is coming? Write a comment!
